What is CST?

Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) is a significant transformation of clinical practices and systems across Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Providence Health Care (PHC).

Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) is a joint undertaking between VCH, PHSA and PHC to complete a significant transformation of clinical practices and systems. Care will be streamlined, with clinical design teams creating standardized, evidence-informed clinical practices. A powerful, new integrated clinical information system will also be developed. CST is our path to smarter, seamless care.

CST is a project to improve patient care by making sure that our practices are evidence-based and consistent across clinical areas, and we are supported by smarter technology including an electronic health record.

Clinical design teams are working together to create standardized, evidence-informed clinical practices. A powerful, new integrated clinical information system will let users generate immediate, accurate and more complete health records while also giving them access to clinical decision support tools.

This transformation will deliver key benefits for our patients, healthcare providers, and Health Organizations and positively affect care on a broad scale. Learn more about the benefits of CST.

This will be a huge change in the way we deliver patient care, so dedicated education and support will be provided.
