What is eSignature?

Electronic signature gives you the ability to electronically review and edit your report prior to applying your electronic signature.

Electronic signature is mandatory at PHSA and optional at FH, PHC, VCH.

At BCCH, BCWH and BCCA (exception of Forensic Psychiatric Services), clinicians sign directly in the Electronic Health Record.

At FH, PHC, VCH and Forensic Psychiatric Services, clinicians sign within the M*Modal dictation system (Fluency Manager).

The standard time frame for sign off on documents is 5 business days.
Resident dictations should be reviewed within 72 hours.
